Well, it's official!
We bought out tickets to Tegel Airport just after Christmas and are really looking forward to some time away from the USA.
Work for Alicia has been out of control and Matt has been experiencing the joys of public school a little too much. Somedays it feels like the world is too evil to exist much longer. And the kids we work with have bought into the Hellish system.
Three weeks until February break; I'm trying to not get too excited. But it will be so cool to see Matt experience Europe for the first time. We've been working on our German language skills, but still struggle with even the basics. The motivation is there, but the energy isn't.
Don't worry, we're not depressed! Just digesting a little too much reality. Maybe a trip to Germany in winter will cure us of the blues! Ah yes, taking in all the historical sights of WW2 and basking in Beer. May it be the best vacation yet!!! We actually looked into tickets for a more pleasant month, but the prices were scarry.

oh i am SO jealous. sounds like the trip of a lifetime. and better now than before there's lots of lil' dewevers to keep track of!
have to admit the beer is sounding pretty tempting. i've heard they have amazing pretzels too!! you konw me: carbaholic to the death.
well, love you guys. hang in there. praying for you regularly. and remember, chicago is MUCH cheaper than germany! :)
I got to talk with Kristi this week while she's here for the Missions Conference, and she is EXCITED that you guys are going! I'm with Ashley, though, in the jealous column. Have a great time, and take alot of pictures to post here afterwards!
i booked my tickets to London- I heading there for 8 days- i am so excited- I have to wait til September.
