John now weighs about 170 lbs, which means he's probably lost over 50 lbs. I think John stands 6' 2'' or so. Even so, the doctor says it's very likely he will be able to return home to Depot Street by Saturday. The blood clot must be almost completely dissolved. He was on 2 different medications for blood thinning. Coumadin was given as a tablet and Heparin through an IV. Matt & Priscilla have set up a mini bedroom downstairs for John and I'm sure he's looking forward to the peace and quiet.
They had some good laughs as Matt & Priscilla tried to persuade John that he had been inappropriately candid after coming out of surgery yesterday. Of course, neither Matt or Priscilla have a good poker face, so John knew they were lying almost immediately. Towards the second part of the day John went through some rough spells of nausea and needed some oxygen, but maintained a positive attitude through it all!
